Don’t just play soccer. Ref It!
Youth development is the central focus of the AYSO program. This includes development of youth whether they are soccer players or soccer referees. The Youth Referee Program is open to children over the age of 12 years old.
Youth Referees will learn the Laws of the Game and refereeing techniques which may help them to become better players, improve decision making skills, build self-confidence and earn volunteer hours sometimes required by a school.
Download the "Manual for Youth Referees Here
This manual is designed to assist youth referees with information and material for their unique needs. It includes forms for the names, phone numbers and e-mail addresses of the key people in their region who support them as well as answers to those questions youth Referees typically ask. A great addition to your Referee bag!
We offer a trained Youth Referee Coordinator to provide support and guidance needed to help youth referees gain knowledge and experience.
